Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Yin Chengwu Hosts Reception for China Human Resources Program Trainees

On August 12, Ambassador Yin Chengwu hosted a reception for China human resources program trainees,more than 100 people attended, including Hon. Dr. J. Luther Tarpeh, National Chairman of the Unity Party, Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Nyei, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of the trainees.

Ambassador Yin said that China’s human resources program is a major driver of shared development, a great channel for people-to-people exchange, and an important measure for implementing the Global Development Initiative and advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. He noted that over the years, China has trained many talents for Liberia. He expressed hope that the trainees would study hard, contribute to Liberia’s development, and serve as ambassadors of China-Liberia friendship.

Chairman Tarpeh and Deputy Minister Nyei highly praised China’s long-standing support for Liberia’s capacity building and expressed appreciation for the training programs China has provided in various fields. They noted that the programs offer valuable opportunities for Liberia to learn from China’s development experience and reaffirmed Liberia’s firm adherence to the one-China principle.

Representatives of the trainees expressed their appreciation for the training opportunities and said that they would apply the knowledge and skills gained through the programs to their work and make practical contributions to Liberia’s development.
